G3x Button Assignments

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a G3x (if I can live with the non-existant RAW buffer and slow shot to shot), but I was wondering, can you re-assign any of the butons to other functions? The manual seems to say you can, but, I don't know how flexible it is?

Also, can you do back button focus as on a Canon DSLR (so, detach focus from the sutter button and move it to a button in the back).

Yes you can reassign many buttons, if not all. For example you can set focus point select button (below the * button) as Auto Focus Lock.

The touch screen can be set up to focus on the area you touch.
