Hello All:

(FINAL FIREWORKS RE-POST for tonite)

What do you folks think? good/bad critics? It's my first time taking my new V1 for night shots and using manual controls. Show was in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Hope to hear lotsa comments or even ideas.

Hi Andrew,

My suggestion would be to post links to all those shots. Put a ";" behind the URL, and that will prevent them from actually loading on the forum page. I have a high bandwidth line, and I couldn't get more then a few of them to load before I lost patience.

The ones I saw looked very, very nice though. I especially like the low crescent moon on the horizon.

Hi,

I'm wondering why the show changed it's name? I know it used to be called the Symphony of Fire.... was it changed when the whole thing happened with sponsorship... bensen and hedges, etc? just wondering

great pics by the way! really brought back some memories! i used to love going to that show every year! Thanks for sharing.

No it is still called Symphony Of Fire but you are right taht Benson and Hedges no longer is the sponsor.

No it is still called Symphony Of Fire but you are right taht

No it is still called Symphony Of Fire but you are right taht

The first and third ones really caught my eye. I think it's the definitive lines in them..... it's amazing what some people can do eh?!?!

One of my friends that were with me, was telling me that for last night's show. Most pyrotechnic blast were the same except 3 new ones that they used this year. He lives at English Bay and goes to all the shows every year.

heheh after for a while, fireworks is fireworks... But I loved the lights and the many colours tho. :-)

I think of the sponsorships that's why the name changed. They use "Festival of Lights" or "Celebration of Lights". Marketting I guess. HSBC does it now.

I think (I could be wrong). They had some problems with "marketting cigarettes"

Yeah I know that they weren't allowed to use Benson and Hedges anymore.... I'm just glad they were able to find a new sponsor! It would be a shame to lose this event. So is the name Symphony of Fire technically gone, but people just call it that out of habit? I know i still do.... lol
