Connecting a Fuji X camera to a Macpro computer seems to be a convoluted and unreliable way of getting image shot in a studio location directly into the computer.

I was wondering if anyone has given up like I have and switched to a Wifi card like the Mobipro 32 gig for tranferring images while shooting directly to the Mac computer.

Thanks,

Elliot

With an X-T1 Via USB it is quite straightforward if you are using LightRoom. You just need to by the Fuji tether plugin and connect up the USB. I have also used an Eyefi wireless SD with an X-Pro1 but the range and speed is a lot slower with RAW files than using a USB cable to lightroom from an X-T1 a RAW on the XT takes around 4s from shot to screen and via the eyefi card around 10s. I am hoping this will improve on the X-pro2 and X-T2 with compressed raws.

Elliot,

I gave up with the Wi-Fi and went to Toshiba EyeFi SD card. Still pretty slow (for me). I think a direct tether to the USB port and the Fuji will work best. On my list of things to try after I have time from work to play later on this year.

thanks. Let me know how that works out. So far all the reports I have read have been rather negative.

Does that not require parrells, windows and the Fuji H software?

This is what I found on Adobe site.

But I am still not sure if it requires any other software for making a direct connection to Mac.
