which one will faster ? A77 II vs A6300 + LA-EA3

Right now, I'm shooting Tamron 150-600mm on A7mII + LA-EA3

I wonder which one will be faster, the A77II or the A6300 + LA-EA3

I watched the video and A6300 is a monster for sure, however, I am not sure about LA-EA3 on it, will it be the same as A7mII ?

Haven't test the A6300 yet,

but A7RII + LA-EA3 + A-mount lens AF is a lots slower than A77Mk2.

A7RII + LA-EA3 + A-mount lens AF is fast in AF-S on still object, AF-C is fine in single shot mode.

But when you shoot burst, AF-C on moving object, the focus is highly inaccurate,

There are some tests (start at 9:25sec) show in the video below by Mathieu Gasquet,

..

For shooting BIF or indoor/outdoor sport, A77MK2 is perfect for A-mount lens,

unlike mirrorless camera, it have 79-Points real dedicated AF, the AF is fast & accurate even in 8fps / 12fps burst mode under poor lighting.

(According to Dpreview, the A77MK2 single point AF is as fast as 1DX.)

Ah, but... The Tamron 150-600 does not have VC for the Sony A-Mount. You have IBIS in the A77II (and do not need the LA-EA3) and the A7II (need the LA-EA3), but will not in the A6300. Even if the A6300 is comparable in speed, you give up stabilization with the A-Mount version of that lens. To use that lens with VC, you will need to use the Canon or Nikon mount with the appropriate converter. We will have to wait to see how AF performance is with one of those setups.

I don't really care about VC, because when the bird fly, u have to shoot at 1/3000 , or slowest at 1/1000 for sharp images.

On my A7mII , the Tamron for Canon EF not working or AF slow, but the Tamron A Mount + LA-EA3 is tracking bird fast like hell >_<

Right now I am thinking get APS-C body for it, so tempted to hit the A77II or have to wait for A6300 >_<

I have tested a few lens with A77ii, include 70-300G SSM, 70-400G SSM, Tamron 150-600 USD, etc, with good result.

AFAIK, A6300 use the similar AF technology as A7Rii, and should be improved because it have more OSPDAF points.

But if the A6300 just work the same as A7Rii with LA-EA3, I will be very disappointed, because it is no way close to the AF performance of A77MK2 with A-mount lens or 7dmk2 / D7200 with native lens.

Let see what the tests will show BUT :
  • A77-II has a PADF only technology vs A6300 which has an Hybrid AF (CDAF+PDAF). So Hybrid AF is more acurate but should be slower due to the CDAF.
  • FASTER ? It depends on the question. If the question is which one will focus the fastest maybe the A77-II, BUT if is the question is which one will track the best maybe the A6300. So there is not a simple answer to your question it depends on the use of the camera. That's why some people says : Whouaou A6000 is amazing, and other say no I prefer my DSLR.
  • FASTER ? in which conditions ? Low light vs good light : I remember you that in low light hybrid AF is not as fast than mirror or transluscent technology for the moment, let see what will happend with the A6300 ?
So let see what the reviews will show.

I got a good deal $450 - $500 for an used A77II,

I think I will pick this camera as my birds shooting caemra. I don't beleive LA-EA3 will bring good focus like native sony A Mount camera.

The A7R2 does not tell you what the A6300 will do. With different sensors there is just no way to know for sure until it is tested. If you go back a little ways on these boards, you can find plenty of speculation that AF that the A7R2 is doing can "never" be done. That some components are the same and that the concept is the same does not mean that the limits with an all new sensor chip will be the same.

We just have to wait and see, or if the OP needs to decide and must have a solid answer, then the only safe one is the A77m2

I have A77II and a6000. I will not comment AF speed of a6300. It looks promising, but we will have to wait valid reports.

But I will comment ISO. a6000 has cca. half a stop better ISO performance than A77II. If we assume that a6300 has half a stop advantage over a6000, it would meant that a6300 is one stop better than A77II.

Now, if you shoot 1/1000 or faster with "slow" zoom, that one stop advantage will be more than welcome.

Lock AF disabled on A7RII + EA3 and I am wonder if this happened the same with A6300 + EA3.

I don't understand. You have the Tamron with a sony mount? Why the adapter? And, are you shooting the A7 or the A77 which are very different animals. Please explain.
