How much would you pay for a used x-e2 now?

I'm also thinking to get one used x-E2.
Right now I can find the x-E2 for $430 on eBay, , but I want to wait the x-E2s release and see if the price goes down even more, or the x-E2s get the same ebay price.

Why buy used when new one here is selling for US$659 with 18-55 lens.

I recently tried to sell mine which is pristine with a couple thousand actuations on FM, thinking I don't need it if I add the X Pro 2 to my line up, and couldn't get it sold for what I thought I would like for it. I was hoping the camera would fetch $400 and with a leather Fuji case and Really Right Stuff Plate packaged would get $450. I didn't get many nibbles, other than low ballers, for about 2 weeks so I pulled it back hoping that the new firmware might spark some interest. There really weren't very many of them listed at the time I was trying to sell mine.

I'm thinking of buying one for fun and my kid.
I bought a like-new black X-E2 body from Adorama at the beginning of September for $499. The only mark on the X-E2 was a small scuff next to the tripod mount hole and everything worked perfectly; Adorama rated it at their E+. KEH had two in similar condition and was asking $599 each. At the time a new black X-E2 body was $799 so, I saved $300 off the retail price.

Now B&H Photo has the dropped the black X-E2 body to $699, 99 cents less than a black or silver X-E2S, and the silver X-E2 body has dropped to $674.99. As the retail price drops, so will the used price but, I think a $300 savings for a used X-E2 in excellent condition will be tough. Right now $399 would probably be a good deal. I think when the X-E2S is actually in stock in a few weeks, a new X-E2 will probably go to $499 like the X-Pro1.

I just saw a listing on craigslist for $350.

Put a request in to purchase it a few moments ago. I know the price will come down as the X-E2S populate the stores. Cameras are like the stocks I purchase. As soon as I make the purchase they go down in price. They never return to their original value. For the camera, once I purchase it I will never sell it. The fun meter starts running.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

I tend to believe the X-E2 used prices will hang within a couple hundred dollars of the X-E2s for a year or two. With the firmware update that promises to pretty much equalize the two cameras, there's probably going to be a pretty high demand for the earlier version among people like me who'd like to be able to find a used one as cheaply as possible and then update it.

I love my X-E1, and the 2, as is, isn't enough incentive to upgrade for what it would end up costing. The 2s, however, has me more motivated even though I've already told myself I wouldn't bother upgrading either my X-E1 or X100s until there were more significant changes, such as with the XPro2.

I paid $500 shipped/fees for a used one one in November, before the X-E2s announcement. I probably overpaid by $50, but no regrets, it's a great camera (and a good specimen). And now that the firmware date is, um, firm, I'll be even happier :)

I actually bought the same one from that guy.

Functionally it works just fine, but he didn't tell me that there is a scratch on the sensor. It only shows up past f/5.6 (it looks like a piece of dust). The images below that f stop are fine.

No amount of blowing, dusting, or wet cleaning will get it off.

Good price? I feel like I was taken advantage of. Grrrrrr.

Well, here in UK, last month I bought a used one from a reputable dealer, with six months warranty, boxed with all original acc's, unused strap, mint condition, for £285.00, very pleased with my purchase and happy to have an X-E2 (again).

With the upcoming firmware update just a few days away, the X-E2 should be worth considerably more than when it was new. It will be a far better camera than it was before. The new firmware will put the X-E2 on par with the X-T10 and X-E2s for much less money.

since the sensor is scratched. Below f/5.6 it's not noticeable, but it is the more stopped down the lens is.

I was originally thinking of selling my X-Pro1, but I think I like the X-Pro1 better than the X-E2.

I think I'll be able to get my money back out of it.

I picked one up for $475 CDN. It would have been mint condition except I somehow missed the small nick on the edge of the top plate. This was just a couple days before the X-Pro2 announcement.

A year ago I picked up a mint X-A1 for $200 CDN. Best $200 I ever spent on gear.

This is how I'm buying my Fuji gear going forward. It pains me to pay over 2 grand new, to have the body be worth $500 a few years later.

Check ebay, the new (grey) cameras are sold at about $518 shipped. I remember last month the Asian sellers were offering the same at about $470, they might come back.

I wouldn't buy a used one at this point, they are likely old and might have latent defects.
