On Black Friday I bought a E-M5II from the Olympus store and it was shipped on 12/1. Made it from Texas to Hopewell Twp, PA on 12/3 where it still is. Called Fedex several times, got a case number as they said it is lost. Called Oly and they checked and were told the same thing, but cannot send a replacement until a required date for Fedex to try to find it and got a case number from Oly. Fedex called a short time after and told me they think it is sitting a unloaded trailer but will have to wait for a max of 14 days before they can say it is not on it. Blame it on being swamped with the Xmas shipping rush. You can imagine this guy is frustrated.:-x

Patience Grasshopper!

I know that's easy to say, and I'm sorry about your situation -- hopefully it is in the trailer and will get to you in time for Christmas. It could be worse, as they could be claiming it was already delivered.

Interestingly, I too have had a similar experience with Fedex several years ago. I ordered a camera in plenty of time to have it before an out of town trip. When it did not arrive by the projected delivery date I followed up, only to find that it had come through Austin, but was not unloaded and was still on the truck which was at that time in Atlanta.

Since it was their error, I tried to get them to put it on a plane to get back before I left -- all I got was a "We're sorry."

Naturally, it arrived back in Austin after I had left town and they had to hold it until I got back.

Since then I only things myself through UPS, as I have never had a bad experience with them -- but I know realistically that they screw up too. Shipping is a hectic business and is exponentially hectic in December each year.

I hope you get your camera soon -- if not, have a Merry Christmas regardless!

Thanks for the sympathy Greg. This has been my 1st bad experience with Fedex. Several years back I ordered a notebook from HP which was air shipped from the Far East and received it in 2 days which blew my mind [not during the Xmas rush].

Merry Christmas to you too.

Bill

This kind of situation can be frustrating. When I bought my Em5 ii, I purchased online from a website that appeared to be for an Australian online camera store (camerasky). But after i purchased añd the delivery was not in the usual time frame I did some research and realised that the company has been registered in Australia but the warehouse is in Taiwan and nnot only was my shipment delayed, but it would be a grey market item. They used the worse shipping company (Toll), which after googling I realised they have a terrible reputation. After many emails and telephone calls I got my camera but I really think the camerasky website is set up to deceive the consumer, as they have 3 office numbers in Australian cities and a p.o box which is addressed at Westfield Parramatta. I should have read reviews before hand but was too caught up in being excited about the new camera...

If it makes you feel any better... I am in the same boat with a package from another vendor...

My package was shipped on 11/30. On the morning of 12/3, their website said the scheduled delivery was that evening. It never showed up and the website says 'Pending' for the date with the last timestamp the evening of 12/2. FEDEX says they don't have any update other than it was last seen in Tuscaloosa (sigh) and to call back Wednesday (tomorrow) if it still hasn't shown up.

I too am in the same boat, only with a Makita power tool. It has been sitting in Lenexa, KS since Friday and was supposed to be delivered today. Now the scheduled delivery just says "pending" LoL I have never had very good luck with FedEx. Actually my best luck has been USPS, a few glitches here and there but on the whole been pretty darn good.

Just checked status on E-M5II with Fedex tracking. Apparently they found it and I should have it tomorrow. Way to go Fedex.

Had a similar experience with my Oly 60mm Macro. It got all the way from NY to Texas (about 20 miles from where I lived) and then stuck on a trailer over the weekend (missing the estimated Friday delivery date). This was with UPS...I'm nervous enough having to use UPS at the best of times, but when it comes to lenses and cameras, I get especially nervous. Anyway, I received it after the weekend, no worse for wear...me and the lens!

Fedex delivered, thankyou.

Don't know what a refurbished camera should look like but this looks like a untouched new one except there was no protective film on the LCD, possibly because it was in the closed position and did not need one. Will have to look up how to do a shutter count and also the E-M5II gurus recommended menu settings. Just finished setting up my preliminary prelim settings and connected wi-fi to my Moto Turbo. All went well and lovin it.
