Help. I need to know what software that is EASY to use and either FREE or inexpensive to use to make a movie and then burn onto a DVD. Windows movie maker only lets me put it on a CD. I want to be able to take a large number of photos that I have taken from a retirement party, create a slideshow (movie) and then put it on a DVD so that others can view it on a DVD on their TV. Please let me know what software you use and maybe even where I can get it. I don't want to spend alot doing it as I will only use it once in a while.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

A camera is a box to capture & store light, nothing more & nothing less.

Latest version of Nero Burning room should do it, if I'm not wrong. For CDs I think it's one of the best ones, and I guess it will be also for DVDs, but have not tested since I do not have a DVD recorder yet.

Best,

I have two DVD recorders and am somewhat surprised that your burner didn't come with copy software. You might take a look in your paperwork and see if there is a disk.

Nero works real well with DVD burners. I know Easy CD Creator works as well, don't like that program.

Almost any new burner software will burn CD's and DVD's now. Hope this helps. Ken

I use Nero and WinOnCD. Both handle DVD burning, but I think WinOnCD is a little easier to use than Nero.

As for creating your photo slide show, there are many many software packages out there now. Photos2VCD is good and easy to use. Pinnacle now has a slide show package.

Do a Google search and see what pops up (no pun intended).

Hope that helps a little.

in the past easY creator was not easy,.... microsift and registry,...
had used nero for long time now, with no coasters,

looked at the ulead software, for makeing dvd slideshows,...
but I bought the nero 6 suite,
  • new nero version
  • great burner
  • has backup software, where I did'nt want to burn $100 for extra software
  • has dvd slideshow creator,
  • has dvd player
  • has more stuff, but I'd recommend it for just the backup and dvd slideshow alone, good enough, stable.
cheers, Robert
