Is there any difference in buying an imported vs. USA Sigma 50mm EX macro lens? I'm thinking about buying an imported one from Delta for $209 versus a USA one from B&H for $239. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
There is no physical difference. They both come off the same assembly line. The only difference is a 1 year international warranty vs a 4 year USA warranty. I do not know about you, but in 30 years of photography I never have had to send a lens in for repair (lucky?). Carmeras are a differenct story and for them the warranty is a major concern to me.
And I do as I say, as I have just ordered an imported Sigma lens from Delta today.
