I like the sharpness of #1 and the sparkling water in #2.
How fun!!! I've heard that chickadees are "relatively" easy to train to eat out of your hand, but never heard of a nuthatch doing this!
Thanks again for the thread Vickie. Here's a mixed bag of shots from my collection:
I didn't know that. From yesterday hiking in the Grand Mesa National Forest at the edge of the Raggeds Wilderness.
Cattle are common in wilderness areas, part of the compromise to getting the Wilderness Act passed.
Oh, yes, I love these wide shots to see and understand the context. And besides, you hike in beautiful places. Thanks for thinking of me! Great pics, most enjoyable post, Mr. Hermit.

The context photo is for Vickie, she seems to like my non-zoo wildlife photos. Not uncommon to see goats halfway up that cliff, doing what goats do.
The ridge line is the wilderness boundary, also the Gunnison NF boundary. For reference this locale is about 7-miles west of Crested Butte, Colo.

Lost in the Colorado Mountains!!!
Well I managed to get the 4K video edited and it is now up on YouTube. Enjoy.
Wow Vickie, this is fantastic! I understand that Pileated are hard to find (I've never seen one), and you not only found one but caught him feeding! And great image quality too. Congrats!
