After more than a year and a half, I continue to be amazed at the capabilities of my E-M1's. Here's a quick shot of our boxer, Haily the other evening in low light @ ISO 6400. My Pany 35-100mm is no slouch either! :-)

...how so many folks get Boxers mixed up with Pit Bulls or variations thereof. I've come to regard Boxers as absolutely wonderful family dogs - very loyal and loving. I've seen this on so many occasions with folks I know who own them (or who have had them). If I had a dog (I'm a cat person at the moment), a Boxer it would be!

Nice shots as always....

Thanks for the comment.

Haily is our surviving one if two boxers we had. Our male, Buddy (or 'Boo-Boo' as we liked to call him) died of congestive heart failure this past January. Not a single day goes by that I don't think about him -- he was a clown, and made us laugh every day of the 10 wonderful years we had him.

Haily is not quite the clown, but is an absolute sweetheart of a dog. She is 9 yrs. old and is still in pretty good shape (although we have had to put her on anti-seizure medication recently).

You are right about people confusing boxers with pitbulls -- which is good and bad. Strangers tend to be pretty wary of them, so they are good security. However, the big difference is that I would not own a pitbull and would not allow one around a small child -- boxers on the other hand are very protective and gentle with small children. Our grandkids loved Buddy and continue to love Haily.

I've had many different dogs in my lifetime, and I will say without reservation that boxers are the best dogs I've ever had. Of course, you know that I love cats too! :-)
