Whatever Microsoft's excuse is, not being able to import bookmarks from Firefox looks fishy.

Is there some commercial war between Microsoft and Mozilla ?

I'll jut keep Firefox as my default browser.

When I had the Edge I imported my favorites from IE, however when listed down the right side and the "pin" icon was clicked the list would not stick. The next time Edge was opened the fav list was gone. Fortunately with all the bugs I switched back to W7 and all is now working as it should. :-)

Meanwhile I found the solution and helped myself to it.

Windows 10 still has the old Internet Explorer tucked away in its Windows Accessories menu.
I imported the Firefox bookmarks into IE 11 and from there into Edge.

IE wanted the bookmarks file to have the html extension and NOT htm.

Next I'll see if Edge can have little extensions and plug ins like in Firefox.

Did the same, works fine.

I don't think browsers care about the difference.

No yet, but is supposed to happen later. Possibly in the SP update that is coming.

It does import from IE and Chrome. I just tried it.

Good for you.

I only cared about Firefox, it seems like it will continue to be my favourite browser, at least for a considerable while.

1 Install Chrome

2 Import bookmarks from FF to Chrome

3 Using Edge, import from Chrome

Why would I install a browser I never liked in the first place ?

If you had followed the thread you would have noticed I already used the almost hidden IE inside Windows 10 to import my Firefox bookmarks into Edge, just in case I would want to use them there also.
