Nissin Di700A

I have not seen any posts about Nissin air or the Di700A Just took some pictures with the "air system" this weekend.

I held the flash with my left hand and just took some test pictures, no addons

to the flash, no softboxes etc. And they are just snaps so take it for what it is.

A7/35 2.8

I see that it's available for preorder and should be available July 31.

Can you buy the Air Commander separately? Also, will it work with the i40 or is it designed to work with the Di700A as part of a kit?

The combo ships later, but you can buy them separately now. I bought them both last week from Samys in California.

I got the Air Commander/Di700A kit, I have the i40 aswell and from what I know there will be a addon for the non-air flashes so they work with the system. Getting that when its out.

So far im happy with how its working, no problem with ttl or hss. I will get some more testing done soon.

Oh right . . . thanks. I just ordered the Commander. Hope it works with my Nisson i40 or my Yongnuo YN-560 (or something like that). ;-)

It only works with the Di700 and not the i40. In the future they are talking about creating a module that you attach a Sony compatible flash that will work with the Air 1. Similar to what phottix has now.

This winter Nissin will come out with a receiver for the Nissin air system. If you

get the commander and receiver the i40 should work (found this pic off the nissin website)

This is a really nice, really easy setup. Really enjoying mine. I'm gonna need a second di700a though.

I think there is a hardware limitation for commanding the i40 the same way. Probably for future versions of that series. Sadly, the Di700 is not as compact as the i40 (I even put this in any of my jeans -s. 32- pockets when walking around).

Darn. I might have to get the Di700 then. But with 2 flashes already, I am better off canceling the Air Commander. Sigh.

I have the Yongnuo RF-603C3-INT Wireless Remote Flash Trigger. It works with my Yongnuo just fine for an off camera solution. I was just hoping to use something compact with the Nissin i40 since I prefer its size. The Di700A size puts it in the Yongnuo territory and I will probably stick with what I have; though, I really would love to have a system that isn't manual because I waste too much time trying to get it just right. Hmmmm.

I have the a6000, Air 1 Commander and the Di700a.

Anyone managed to make it Rear Sync?

If its like the i40, it rear syncs when using other modes (in my case I use to leave it in WL and works fine even on HSS). Can you check this?

Wow, nice catch! I've actually seen that graphics as well, but never paid attention to it as it looked kind of like some marketing talk.

Anyway, I too hope it comes, di700A + i40 + Air1 seems like a perfect size/capability balance!
