Help me out guys. 1st, I'm a Canon shooter and my family has several photos aside from me - Nikon, Canon and Pentax.
Now my mother wants a camera. She has some basic knowledge. After reading too much marketing stuff she was heading out the door to buy a Canon powershot G7x, but I stopped her. Just seems like too much dough for a fixed lens point n shoot. Thinking she should go with a dslr or mirrorless for that much cha-ching.
Here's the issue - one of her needs is video. She's a dog trainer and wants to take training vids and be able to do it on her own...so...tracking and live view focus would be really helpful for her. 70d would be obvious pick, but too much chedda. Also a bit too heavy. Lookin for 600-700 smackaroos, good video functionality and typical photos that a babyboomer mom would want - good photos of the grandkids, flowers, pretty skies and, of course, dogs...any mirror less with 70d like video function?? Any other suggestions??
