That is a nicely composed picture with the core of the galaxy rising over the top of the hills. May I ask how the foreground was lit?

Good image. May I suggest:
1. Clean up the colour noise a bit;
2. Process the sky a bit more to extract more detail/contrast in the MW.

Lovely lovely lovely! We were just there in March and used the opportunity to shoot my first time-lapse nightscapes. As Allan Dyer likes to say, if you want to take beautiful photos then go to beautiful places. Zion is one of those spots where it is hard to take a bad landscape. It is all amazing. Your shot captures the magic of Zion magnificently!
