Cadillac Ranch

It appears you have been here recently. They just painted the cars black in mourning for the gentleman (I don't recall his name) that designed and installed this "piece". He passed away a couple weeks ago in a climbing accident in Australia I think.

The locals get out pretty quick and add their touches.

If you are still in the area and have time, be sure to see Palo Duro Canyon.

Thanks Tom...yes, these were taken last evening 7/16. Didn't realize they had been recently repainted to reflect such a somber occasion. Thanks for letting me know.

Palo Duro may have to wait for our return trip....we are heading to Moab, UT, the photograph the red rocks.

Thanks again, Dane

Greg,

...BIG down here.

Some day I'll get a web-site put together and post some of the photos from our local "silicone beach", if I can get some model releases signed - big, BIG, BIGGER, and TEXAS SIZED.

Cliff.

I live in Amarillo also, here is one from Palo Duro Canyon taken the day I got my 717. I thought the date stamp would be handy, but I have since turned it off.

Nice shot. Photo ops in the canyon are numerous, if you get there at the right time of day.

I was actually thinking of running over to the lighthouse formation tomorrow (Friday) morning early and try to catch the sun at a low angle.

I have been out to the lighthouse before, but the sun was much to high to get a decent shot.

Here is one of my recent favorites from the canyon.
