My new G7 - first pics.

nzmacro Danny, here, is a marvelous BIFfer, and expert with manual focus lenses. ...
Well thanks for that.
I wan't just being polite. Your shooting is inspirational. And thanks for chiming in with additional hints. I was just trying to be helpful in the breach, without real expertise. I'm still aiming to get decent at BIFs.

Thanks boxerman.

I could see if someone complained about noisiness from an image due to the high ISO I used - but it doesn't make an image overexposed per se does it? That depends on my other settings too. I cant see any blown bits myself - though they are both bright for sure.

I am a complete amateur - but even i know I don't need ISO 3200 on a reasonably bright sunny day... just testing this baby out as the GH1 is terrible at higher ISOs. :-D I just cant believe how detailed it is compared to my old camera.
Shooting high ISO in bright daylight won't tell you too much about the camera's high ISO abilities. You need a low light environment with shadows to see how much noise and loss of detail you get with high ISO.
Keep the tips coming though - I have a lot to learn for sure.

I had a nice walk this afternoon and took a few pics - will post a few in case anyone else is interested in this camera.

These are pretty much straight JPEGS from the camera - just some cropping and contrast changes.

Thanks for the photos ,, I recently obtained an OLYMPUS E-M10 after my Gx7 died ..

Was thinking the G7 might make a nice back up etc .. judging by the photos (not critical of your photography) I might wait until the Gx8 comes out
