I'm starting Part 2 a bit early this week because Yaelle and I both have plans for this evening and it's better to start early than late for the sake of those who have posted in the thread.

This thread is now being launched before the previous one is finished.
  • Please continue to post COMMENTS and REPLIES to any thread but when a newer one has been launched, post all new photographs to that.
  • It’s good if you’ve posted a picture in an earlier that there's still room for you to receive a comment on it later in the week.
  • It also prevents tail-enders in earlier threads getting no comments at all because the thread they posted to is full.

Are these photographs or record shots?

Yesterday evening we added a third dog to our house. Now we have one nearly 12 years old, one 4 years old, and an 8 week old puppy. All Australian Shepherds. This little guy flew from Los Angeles to Newark with my wife yesterday, arrived completely unfazed. The breeder had held him back from a couple other people who wanted him because she said he's going to be a difficult dog - very smart, very self confident, questioning authority at his young age. Our old guy was exactly the same, and "difficult" dogs turn out to be the most delightful to live with because of their complexity.

We named him Korben Dallas, the Bruce Willis character in The Fifth Element. At 8 weeks, is litter box trained. Learned to do steps since last night, both up and down, although prefers leaping off the porch into the bushes and tumbling out of them. Learned his name since we got him, comes when called, and sits on command. We've got a lot of work to do...

Has a thing for shoe laces.

Arriving at home picture.

Bold. First time the dishwasher door was opened around him, turned our backs to get plates from the table and found him stretched out on the door. And not wanting to get off.

Loves to chew rawhides, and hasn't chewed anything "illegal". We learned from our first dog that if the house is full of legal things to chew, no chair legs will get chewed.

Our old dog responds with a snarl lip curl when Korben tries to play (which is as he should... he's Big Daddy) but we've now noticed that when Korben lays down to nap, Sam parks right nearby and plays lookout. Caught them curled up together once.

The moment when our middle dog decided that the puppy was OK, and gave off massive play signals.

Watching the little 8 pound puppy battle with a 72 pound adult... yep, he's bold.

A nice series, have fun with the little guy.

The balloon shot again :-)

Those blew straight off the 'cute' scale. I love the ones of the dogs together.

Unusual and wonderful.

Great catch, you and the bird.

I've been very busy recently, both at work and play. We visited Lisbon, in May and I am finally getting around to finishing the photos I took.

I had fun trying different angles on this crucifix in Jeronimos Monastery in Belem, Lisbon.

These are definitely photographs and I especially like the second.

These show your love of your new dog, and so too does the text. Very enjoyable.

Congratulations on an unusual image of an elephant! Very cool.

Excellent.

I hope there were a few people standing next to you with their giant Canikons and lenses when you took this with your tiny GM5, lol!

Blood Moon Rising. The 'seeing' was terrible, but you don't get a blood moon with good seeing usually. Thank old Rayleigh for the delicious red color.

I was curious about Handheld + LOW-ISO. I think it turned out decent for an experiment.

Spur of the moment shot of my cat. I really think this lens shines at 85mm, so very sharp!

Yes, it turned out quite well. I don't know how you moon-shooters do these handheld. Kudos.
