how to show distance information in D7000 and Lightroom 5

i am using Nikon D7000 for years .. but i wonder until now, how to get/show distance information between the camera and the subject, in camera display and lightroom5 .

Neither camera nor LR have ever been able to do that, as far as I know. There may be an EXIF field that you can inspect, but you would need an advanced EXIF viewer to do so.

Just to add - Jeffrey Friedl's Exif Viewer (On-line) shows the informations. It's free to use.

Focus Distance is in the Exif, but Adobe does not show it (does not show most of the Exif). Adobe Camera Raw in PS Bridge (I assume Lightroom is the same) has a Preferences for meta Subject Distance to be shown, but it never does. It is in the Manufacturers section of Exif, and Adobe seems not to go there.

But all you need to see it is a good Exif viewer. ExifTool is undoubtedly the best one. See http://www.scantips.com/lights/exif.html for info about using it.
