The following are only my opinions, based on my own experiences with the A6000.
This is What I’m expecting From successor A6000 (a6100 or Else …)
*28 Megapixel Sensor (Better Sensitivity And Dynamic Range)
I find that my lenses already have a hard time outresolving the sensor. I think that 24 is more than enough.
*2.3Mpix Viefinder T* Coating
I never use the viewfinder, but I would sure appreciate some efforts to reduce the glare of the view screen.
I find the LCD's resolution not an issue, but I want it brighter.
*1/8000 Shutter Speed
*Bulb mode Without remote
*Built In GPS not NFC
+1
Not too many more though, it becomes too complicated. But more customization. For instance, the A3000 when viewing pictures on the LCD, I can press the middle cursor button to zoom in. On the A6000 I have to press this other button further up. So, customization specifically for preview / picture viewing mode. That way the middle button can be something other than zoom when live viewing.
Ok, definitely I want that AWB fixed. Way too often the white balance is off. The white balance is much worse than my old A57 for instance. Also, often picture comes out too blue, too cold, and other times too green. Too often indoor I'm much better off using custom white balance and then fixing it on something white, and then nudging it a bit to make it more natural. Too much work. Of course no camera is going to get this perfectly automatically, but it's just that the A6000 is worse than average in this respect.
Second, I like how I can select no-noise-reduction even for saving jpg files. But that introduced intensified pixels, like color sprinkles. I want more control over the balance of noise reduction and jpg compression. Or something where I can opt for as little damaging noise control as possible and still use jpg. I don't have time for raw processing. I'd like to, but the software is slow and clumsy (Linux / Android guy only here).
Video auto zooming for power zoom lenses. I love my 18-105 lens which is awesome for video. I'd love to automatically zoom when the subject is moving towards or away. Especially when tracking a child across a path. If the camera knows the distance, it ought to be able to calculate how to adjust the zoom. Perhaps there's an app for that?
More control over how I'm going to get content from the camera to my harddrive. Don't assume I have a windows PC. Give me a Java based SDK where I can write some code to do things my way, that can run on either a PC or an Android device. Keep the protocol simple, so that other people can write libraries and sdks also, like for the Apple products.
Lastly, I want video to be sharper. I know the camera can do better. It's much better than my old A57, but it's still not really 1080 crisp like. It is *STILL* more like upscaled 720....
As for 4K. That's nice and all, but it might be more than most people would need. Myself, I'm mainly interested in putting on a show on the big TV in the living room. A 4K tv there makes no sense according to all the talk on the internet about this, because in order to actually see more than 1080 even on a big 70 inch tv, you'd have to still be too close up to the tv in order to be able to tell the difference. When everyone is sitting on the couch, 4k won't show anything better than 1080. So, although it's nice to have, and great fro watching myself very up close, like an a future 4k computer monitor - my main goal won't benefit. I take a lot of home video and storage might become a problem (although it's awesome how video compression algorithm has yet again improved (265 vs 264 for instance).
