Battery of J5 anywhere? - still not around here

real cheap...

I know even the authentic Nikon battery is made in China, but will you actual buy this "no name"?
I buy non OEM batteries all the time, with good results. So Yes I would....

Mike

Yesterday, I received a shipping notification for two additional batteries.

Now I'm only missing Adobe Lightroom support to finally make this a complete ultracompact street package for me.

so, perhaps Nikon does give a sh*t? :)
I don't think I would call a company being late with battery availability under that category :-) It's like a doctor finally agreeing to see you after a month and a half that you have seen before.

You miss the point.

I know everyone has his own working flux, usually well known and mastered. And although I'm waiting also for next update of ACR, Raw Therapee does a nice job with the RAWs of the J5 (supported since a few weeks).

Not the same (must learn new program, new adjusts, not the same procedure...), but RT it's a powerful program that allows A LOT of settings, and can deliver same tone and color than JPGs but with way more detail.

Saludos!

You're welcome!

Are you a photographer or a technician?

so, perhaps Nikon does give a sh*t? :)
I don't think I would call a company being late with battery availability under that category :-)
if by that you mean you withdraw your accusation — fair enough. :)
You miss the point.
no, i think we got it. if i were an early adopter i'd be anxious to get more juice too. Nikon has a track record of too expensive, too little, too much, too late, or just right. when they get things wrong it's infuriating. when they get things right it's exhilarating. nikon can be frustrating at times.

hopefully everyone here will find a spare battery soon enough. :)

Nikon is the greatest and the bestest ;)
is that a quack? ;)
Depends.
no dependence necessary. by your own definition, if you walk like an alarmist and talk like an alarmist ... let me channel right back at you. ;)
You're not very good at this channeling thing. It needs to be germane. Alarmist?!? Perhaps you are confusing people here. But let me help you out: if you walk like a one-who-pokes-fun-at-fanboyish-antics and talk like a one-who-pokes-fun-at-fanboyish-antics... ;)

No no. Don't put words in my mouth and don't take things out of context :-) Don't keep apologizing for them. They could have sorted out their inventory from the get go.

You miss the point.

We is too many people. I am talking about you. *YOU* missed the point.

More apologies ;-) Having batteries ready for a newly released system in short order and time shouldn't be too hard. 2.5 months or so.
hopefully everyone here will find a spare battery soon enough. :)
Sure, of course. :-) That's another point.

well if you're not withdrawing, then you're just being evasive — or argumentative. as usual. i can understand your impatience, but to claim Nikon doesn't "give a sh*t" is more froth than fact. especially if the battery has started shipping. they sure give enough of a "sh*t" to want to make their margins. that's part of why the batteries were redesigned in the first place. so your logic doesn't flow.
You miss the point.

the point remains as an early adopter — you're expectations are more selfish than reasonable. i can completely understand that — why can't you?

more alarmism? :) do you have any experience in this regard or is it just more of the world must center around your immediate needs? i'm not defending less than best of class practices, if you've bought a new model car, or anything else state of the art — as an early adopter, it's reasonable to understand it takes time for all the spare parts and accessories to trickle down.

that's not an apology, just realism. if i'm calling out your alarmism, it's because it's obvious your choice of words were designed to froth others with similar unreasonable expectations.

but ties in nicely to the original one, as most of us are playing on the same team.
