An interesting site which appears to try to make camera comparisons based on published , measurable parameters.

This a good attempt at rationalising the process of choosing between cameras but unfortunately it misses out on those qualities which are most important to potential buyers. These are, principally , image quality & handling & compatibility with existing equipment.

The final recommendation seems to be based on adding up scores - I wonder how the result would differ if a cross-section of users were questioned ?

I dropped it when I saw Sony RX1 = 84 and Sony RX100 3 = 82

DPR occasionally gives a Gold Award to a camera that has a lower score than another one that did not get the Gold Award. Other sites too may not have scores that match someone's personal impressions. But that should not be a reason to dismiss a review/comparison/test site. Instead, consider the scoring system for what it is and work within its own merits. Sometimes, cameras get dinged for being heavier than other cameras, although they might be by far the more capable tool. It doesn't mean that the comparisons aren't valid. If a test site gives a certain score for objectively questionable reasons, then it's another thing, of course. As long as that is not the case, though, one can usually get useful information that will inform one's own scoring system, so to say.
