What camera?? If the 1Ds-III in your gear list, then no that resolution is not supported natively - so you'll have to re-size in post.

Read your camera manual - no doubt it will tell you how to change the resolution that is recorded.

Do you use Lightroom? That would take 1 min to set up an export preference and then batch export all the photos at once with whatever size you need.

That's very nearly a 4:3 aspect ratio. Yes you can choose that aspect ratio in camera with the 70D.

??

You can choose ratios for video but as far as photos are concerned, the Canon APS-C sensor is a 3:2 ratio and no matter what picture quality you select, it is always going to be 3:2

To the OP I don't see any way to do this all in camera and quite honestly I don't think you want to. For one the size you gave is very odd 3000px X 2216px I could see 3000px long edge at 240 DPI but not a specific demention like that.

Also if you do it in camera, you will loose you ability to crop in post which I recommend doing on nearly all your sports photos.

using CANON 70D

manual is long gone after move from Midwest to California
Pg 433 of the manual lists the image resolutions. The choices are all 3:2, which do not match what you want so you're going to have to crop in PP anyway.

Yes, you can size 4:3 aspect ratio with the 70D. This will only apply, though, to the jpg images. Therefore, shoot in jpg +RAW, with aspect set to 4:3. Works, of course, only in Live View. Obviously the crop is fixed and centered. But under the control of the Photographer during shoot. What more can you require?

With the 70D, drill down to Live View I and select 4:3. Works with my camera.
