I qualify for the free Win 7 to Win 10 upgrade. But I am wondering - will my Photoshop CS5 work OK with Win 10? Will I have to re-install all my applications?

i started a thread with the same issue and i still don't have firm answer for it ;-) i am going to wait and see how things go and whether it is worth reinstalling all of my apps! looking at it, i am afraid there won't be any other way around it. good luck.

cheers.
Well the way round it, I guess, is not to install Win 10 and just stick with Win 7? I also have some pretty old printers and scanners that I use and I am not convinced there will be drivers for them.

yes, and then there is the driver compatibility issue for old equipment that makes one's decision even harder! i'd wait at least 6 months until kinks are taken out of win 10 and then decide whether this upgrade is worth it!

Yeah, or I may just stick with Win 7 unless I see an overriding reason to get Win 10. So far I haven't seen a single improvement that will help on standard desktops or laptops. But I admit I haven't paid much attention.

The Win 10 upgrade installation routine makes it very easy to revert back to whatever OS you were running before. So, you can try it, and if you don't like it just go back to W7. Heck, it's free, why not? ;)

well, i have windos 8.1 installed on my latest laptop i purchased and find it so so in some areas compared to win 7 but it took a while till i got used to it and set it up the way i wanted it. but i find win 7 more robust than win 8.1. win 8.1 reminds me more of my galaxy or i-phone cell phone than an OS that i am used to all these years ;-) i suppose it would be acceptable to a youngster that was born in mid 80s or 90s or later! may god help us all with the new win 10, M$'s free gift (Trojan horse) :-D

cheers.
