FE55 for me and here's why:

Leitz Summicron-R 50mm, Sony FE55, Canon FL 55/1.2, Minolta MC Rokkor-PG 50/1.4
My favorite nifty fifties - all wide open. To my eyes, the BOKEH with the FE55 (top right) is the most pleasing. There's more of it with the Canon 55/1.2 and Minolta 50/1.4 but it's more distracting.
f/1.8 may be a bit workmanlike for some people's tastes, but it's actually a pretty good speed when you can use it without having to stop down to clean up the focus target and calm down the BOKEH. Makes for a good price and size point (compared to what a similarly performing 1.4 would be). Every once in a while I feel as though I could use a tad more speed, but more often - particularly as I get in closer - it would probably be best to go ahead and stop down some.
