near me is a raptor rehabilitation center. They attempt to rehabilitate raptors who have been injured, although not all can be released. Here is a red tailed hawk. It was challenging to take photos because they were behind a steel mesh surrounding the enclosures. I had to make use of DOF so that the mesh was not as noticeable, although obviously the mesh softens the images, these are with the 50-200 & EC14

Thanks for showing Brad. It's a good deed this place does.

I would never have noticed the mesh if you hadn't mentioned it. Good job.

Thanks so much George :-)
The background is my Trumpet vine...which isn't blooming yet...I have a feeder in front of it coz I am picky about my backgrounds...lol... :-)
My all time FAV bird to shoot...I can't get enough of them...so yes...more pics to come on every chance I get :-)

I love Swans...hope to see more shots also when eggs hatch :-) Love baby cygnets...they are soooo cute :-)

I love that there are rehabilitation centers for all types of animals & birds :-)
You did a great job with the photos Brad...2nd is my Fav...

Brad, the second shot is a wall hanger!

George. wood ducks I think are the most beautiful ducks that we have, great capture. The redwing black birds are abundant here in NJ. Today I saw one the was chasing a great blue heron out of its territory and kept after it for a 100 feet or so,,

Excellent series, Paul. The Nikon lens is very sharp, especially at the comparatively slow shutter speeds you used. Any reason for that?
