Does anybody know of any waterproof/seal bag that is lightweight, foldable to store your 717 and camera bag in while canoeing and kayaking incase it falls into the water ? Thanks.

I'm not sure if this is your case but if you're going to a place to rent kayaks, I believe they usually give you some sort of waterproof bag that floats well too. Maybe this is just the case with the one time I went =P

I actually tipped over and luckily I CORRECTLy tightened their bag to begin with (you're supposed to roll the top down and THEN lock it with the clip). I was so scared my 505v would be dead but when I opened it.. the bag was completely dried inside.

Thanks fonebone,

When it comes to my camera I might want to trust something I have prepared myself. But it is nice to know that they would have something available there.

Hi there Mitar,

I just got back from a 3 week holiday up to Cairns in Northern Australia, and I brought a Ewa-Marine satual before I left so that I could go snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.

The bag worked just fine, it was not easy to manipulate, but I would love to go back and do it again.......I know what I'd do differently this time round........consider I was not able to use the built in flash of the F707 I am very happy with the images I got...........I did not have any leakages whatsoever.......... Thankyou so much for all your suggestions. The Pelican box is too big to carry around for canoe and kayak. I will definitely look into the EW-Marine and the aquapac. Thanks again for your input.

I got one of their cases for my iPAQ. Works great. Now thinking
about one for my Sony V1.

Hi Zach,

I plan to do just that very soon, having just gotten back from a 3 week holiday and already back at work, I have several hundred images to sort through, I will be posting some images of the satchel and some that I took under the water .........Skippy (Australia)
Skippy,
Can you provide more info regarding the Ewa-Marine item? Also
would love to see the pictures you took.
Thanks,
Zach

Hi Dave,
do you think the V1 will fit in the compact case or the digital case?
Thanks

On my recent trip to Florida it rained almost every afternoon. I carried a large ziplock bag in my back pocket as an emergency raincoat for 707 whenever we went out. Worked great. Even made a couple of shots through the open hole while the rain was just spitting a little.
That might be an idea, an oversized ziplog bag if I could not find
anything else. Thanks.
