Is LR6 available in the UK as a standalone?

Is LR6 available in the UK as a standalone?

In the UK there appears to be no stand alone offered, I would like to be proved wrong. So I may have to try another software provider in the future.

Yes, it is.

I just went to Adobe's uk site, click "menu", on the next screen click "all products", a bit unobtrusive at the bottom of the screen, and that takes you to a page where you can buy Lightroom 6

Yes it is available as Dave Stott says, but not as a hardcopy only as a download, and due to the way Adobe have marketed it if you want an upgrade you have to select buy then change the version from FULL to UPGRADE. The upgrade price in UK is £59.99.

scroll down to Lightroom 6, select BUY (change from FULL to UPGRADE if that's what you want), select ADD TO CART, on the checkout page select CHECKOUT then log into your Adobe account and follow the instructions. Hope it's made it a bit clearer.

It's usual for the boxed version to lag a few weeks behind the launch of the download version.

I've just looked. Amazon UK are listing the boxed version, delivery possible tomorrow.

Now, another question: I just downoladed a "trial" (!) version of LR 6, and it installed itself in the "Program Files" directory, and NOT in the "Program Files (X86)" one ! Does this means that it's a 32bits version ?

I have tried to see which version it is, but couldn't find it anywhere !

Lightroom 6 is 64 bit only. So wherever it's installed, that's what you have

Thanks Dave !

I thought it was 64bits, but I found very odd that it didn't installed itself in the "Program files (X64)", where all the 64bits softwares are ...and where there is an ADOBE sub-directory with only the 64bits versions of all my Adobe things !

...and all the 32bits softwares -only- are saved in "Program Files", where there's also an ADOBE sub-directory that contains ONLY the 32 bits versions !

However, Adobe installed LR 6 in the supposably only_used_for 32bits place.... Quite illogic IMO !?!
