Show Your Snaps...April 27, 2015

Thanks. When the flowers start blooming for you next month, you'll have to show us them. May is a nice month when everything looks so fresh.

Thanks. I was happy to be able to get that close to the squirrel with my telephoto kit lens. And I was able to keep the camera/lens steady for that low of a shutter speed.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, you are right. I would not have had to crop for the squirrel with my other lens. The Tamron 150-600mm lens would get me out to 960mm EFL where this lens only gets to 400mm EFL (maximum). So I have to challenge myself to get closer.

The time for repair is only three days per Tamron service on the internet. But the camera shop said that they are slow now. He said to expect up to 10 weeks (as a maximum). So anytime between 1 week and 10 weeks is my guess.

It looks like another great day for you with pretty flowers. I like seeing the stone bridges with the arches. The spring lambs look cute. That's a nice closeup of the bird.

It's nice to see the daffodils. I took pictures of them a few weeks ago where I live. That's great you are experimenting with your gear and trying different things.

I know how exciting it can be to see the first green leaves in spring. That's good to see the ducks. I haven't taken pictures of the ducks now for a couple of weeks and I'm ready to do it again.

Life looks so good on the beach! I assume that the jazz music must have sounded nice. The girls are very pretty; you captured four beauties. :)

Hi Digirame, Thanks.

Did a quick visit to this area during winter, it was good going back on a lovely day and seeing all the renovation work completed. Its a shame that they have had to shut the canal further along for repair, restricting traffic to the basin, hopefully it will be open for May bank holiday.

This is Sachs Covered Bridge. From a last minute decision to take a bike trip to Gettysburg Battlefield.

Hi sharodo,

Nice photo, was the bridge built like that with its lattice framework for strength or Military purposes?

Hey everyone. I also caught a squirrel in a local park today. It was cold so he was warming up his nuts. :)

I had to read about the Sachs Covered Bridge. That's an interesting part of history. I'm glad that they preserved it.

That's a good photo. I like the background and surroundings too. It's rather pleasant with the two predominant colors of green and brown.

You got a red rose that appears to be wet. Was that with rain drops? What are those objects in the second image? The bird appears to be giving you the "stare down". That's a good one with you getting so close.

The only information I can find is that the lattice work is part of the support system.

I found a squirrel with a peanut this weekend. I did have to do a little cropping. I hope you like.

Hi all,

on another trail around the local Canal systems in this area.

Bugsworth Basin, this part of the canal system has had extensive renovation work done on it, mainly voluntary work. (f/9, (SS): 1/125, ISO100, EV: -0.33, Mode: Aperture Priority, Metering: Evaluative, Focus: One Shot, FL: 17mm, Lens: Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L)

This one is Really Nice Shot :-) I Like the colour of Sky here :-)

Hey Bro, Did you use Tripod for this shot??

"The termite'nator", a Robin feeding its chicks. From where I stood I couldn't see the nest but it would perch on the same twig each time before flying in to feed the young. (f/6.3, (SS): 1/800, ISO400, EV: 0, Mode: Shutter Priority, Metering: Partial, Focus: AI Servo, FL: 600mm, Lens: Tamron SP 150-600mm)
