I use a Viking 32Mb CF Card. So far it worked well. Yesterday it just refused to work. After I shot a picture I got the message, this card does not work in

this camera. When I try to format the card I can't select the Card Format function. Any similar experiences and helps?

Christian,

I use Type 3 Pcmcia hard drives in my cameras and sometimes they get funky.
I use Norton Disk Dotor to clean them up. Not sure if that works with CF cards.

I noticed that the new 1.2 firmware includes info to allow the use of some CF cards that I thought would have worked previously with the earlier firmware. I'd contact Nikon tech support on this one. The implication made by the new firmware specs, indicates that not all cards worked in the Camera prior to the release of this new firmware. It could be that some cards still won't.

Thank you for the reply Peter,

seems a nice idea to me, but I can't use type 3 CF cards in my camera. And I also have no idea, how to access my CF card with the Norton Utilities
trough the serial port.
