5D III is still a pretty darn good camera!

That's nice work! I enjoyed the images....I own a tennis shop! :-)

:; Thanks--judging by the way these guys were going though tennis balls and racquets, you must be rich!

True :) .

Back in the day. Pete Sampras was notorious for having the highest Tension in his racket gutting, and was consuming 3/4 per match :)..
I believe it! Each of these guys showed up with 8-10 racquets, plus that wet clay court required them to go dozens of balls every match, all of which were thrown away, I think. In hindsight, that would be a heck of an ending shot--a dumpster full of tennis balls!

I remember buying those balls at a cheap price to play cricket back home...:) .

5d3 is not old! It is actually still a top canon camera excluding 5dx.

Moreover, the original 5d and 5d2 are still great cameras!

Thanks! I love to show off, and the 5D III is really an excellent mid-level pro camera. Unless I step up to the 1DX, there isn't an alternative that can match this workhorse for all-round photography. I knew the autofocus was good, but the "hit" rate with this plus the 70-200 f/2.8L IS II was probably 95% for tough low-light, background clutter action.

Yep! Pete strung with 17 gauge VS Gut at around 70lbs. tension. And that in an 85 square inch frame. He had his own personal stringer that traveled with him. He was VERY particular about his racquet prep.

He was true Ivan Lendl prodigy. That single handed back hand was delight to watch. Until Nick Bollitteri started producing those double handed drones from his academy...
Lendl was the prototype of the modern tennis player; strong and in great shape. He changed the game from the "toothpicks" that were on the court to the players that are ripped, spend time in the weight room and do a lot of cardio work.

Very True.

Sad that such a talented player never owned the Wimbledon Grass court Title. Reached the finals almost all the times but that trophy eluded him till the end.
