So i now own a Fuji X-E1 and love it, i also own the 35mm and 18-55mm lenses, my question is, will my lenses be compatible if fuji will release a new X Pro 2 or something like that with a new sensor and higher resolution?

Yes.

If a new sensor in the future isn't larger and doesn't outresolve the older lenses, then yes.

It seems to me that your question might have 2 interpretations. Will it fit the mount and work electrically/mechanically? I will go along with common sense and say yes.

Will a higher resolution sensor exceed the lenses ability to "see?" I would Expect not but who knows 'till a new system is used and tested.

Unless Fuji changes the lens mount for some crazy reason yes. Even then their would be adaptors, but that would be nuts on Fuji's part and totally kill the system.

That used to happen in the film SLR world more with Canon, Minolta when the change from manual focus to auto focus bodies and lenses then to losing the aperture ring on their lenses, but Nikon for the most part always remained backwards compatible except for the earliest Nikkor's (however thats spelled)

The FUJI X system is a relatively new and very successful system. FUJI would be nuts to make these lenses incompatible to a new X PRO-2. That's just plain crazy. Wonder what why that question was raised. On another forum to seed trouble ?
