It's Saturday somewhere so we can post from everywhere! Common or rare, pretty or not, let's see what you've got.

To post your pics, please reply to THIS post and change the title. Otherwise, in threaded mode, your post will appear to be a comment to another's post. We don't want to overlook your pics! Threaded mode lists posts in a hierarchy which is ideal for viewing threads like this one.

Try to limit pics to three or so and identify subjects if possible. It would be nice if you would provide location and other info others might find interesting. And do comment on others' pics if so moved. Everyone is welcome to participate with any camera, any time. Lurkers and new members please join in.

When out viewing and photographing wildlife, I want all of you to be safe. I also want the wildlife to remain safe and minimally impacted by our presence.

Last weekend was nice, sunny albeit very windy. So I walked along the trail with HS50 coupled with Olympus C-180 converter. These are all handheld, post-processed using RawTherapee and taken at 1700mm EFL.

Found these ~1-mile north of my house on a hike. I only see bighorns every 3-5 years so every sighting is a treat. These are ewes, even rarer to see a ram.

The granite slopes are their normal habitat

They spent much of their time grazing.

I ended up getting within 50-feet. Had to move slowly and stop often.

Full image is MUCH sharper.

This little guy looks a bit poorly, he didn't move much from under the decking.

Black-capped chickadee, despite their abundance I don't have too many pics of them, just recently got one of my better ones...a cooperative immature red-tailed hawk, and a Fox Sparrow. still trying to get out of winter it seems the weather finally will break this weekend.

I haven't posted much of late on birds in flight, so I thought it was about time I did that again. I used a red dot sight for the last two shots, but on the first two it wasn't necessary, as the slower moving seabirds were relatively easy to track.

A Wandering Albatross.

Excellent results for the extreme focal length, especially the smaller birds.

Highly detailed shots gives a first class result.

Very interesting result. I like the effect.
