NX1 Firmware Delay?

Mirrorlessrumors is not reliable, they have announced the CAF improvement by 100%, the new update "coming within days" etc... It's never happened.

It's like the fact that next firmwares will be in connection with customers wishes, i have never read something like that by Samsung.
We are dealing with Rumors - nothing is Reliable.

MirrorlessRumors - I have visited them for years and enjoy doing so.

And I would never link to them if they were not worth a read on various topics.

By the way note the number of hits their articles receive, at the top of each article.

I have no problem waiting if it means they get it completely correct

I did not even realize another firmware update was imminent.

To me, this is nothing but good news. I am quite pleased with the way Samsung continues to upgrade this camera.

It is actually one of the reasons I bought it.

Of course, I have not actually seen the camera yet.

I expect delivery today.

I will be shooting some indoor hockey by the weekend. I'll see how it stacks up next to my D4.

Best,

Bill

Definitely use multi focus or auto shot mode (this is where the camera chooses single point or multi and actually works well in lowish light). Single point will NOT perform like a DSLR.

There are still a lot of open issues with the current firmware release (v1.22), which is why I hope that Samsung will keep publishing updates. Refer to this list, which I posted a while ago.

That the non-working auto-exposure-lock in manual mode is still not fixed in the current firmware (v1.22, which was the last release) is disappointing. Also, when taking videos, I still stumble upon the problem that the autofocus setting is ignored (and the camera will attempt to re-focus when I enter movie mode or movie standby mode). This is very annoying, so I really hope to get an update soon.

Regards
Jan
