Hallo,

my gear is a tad bit outdated: I actually shoot with Pentax MX and K-m.

I am looking for something that could let me work from ISO 800 on in places where not only I could not use a flash, but also my camera needs to be the most silent is possible. Mainly theatre and modern dance shows. I am really undecided if:

Get a K-5 (I, II or IIS) used [less money, but no guarantee] or new [there are still a few around and prices are attractive], or

Sell all I could sell in lenses and all and go for a compact mirrorless sys, but wich one? Sony A6000 (what lenses?), Fuji X-something (again, lenses?)... else?

emh, budget Do matter! :)

thank you for reading, have a nice day!

Mirrorless can be an option. It is not a system dat every one likes. For my self I switched from Canon FF to the Fujifilm system and do not regret it.

I used Sony NEX system for a while. the 5r 6 and 7. For my self I did not like the menu and how the camera has to be operated. Personally the lenses for the NEX system are not the best. There for I did chose for the Fujifilm X system. This system works for me great. More fun at photography!

Advice for lenses is hard. This is also a personal tast. For my self I would chose the 10-24 | 16-55 | 50-140 and 56mm This set I use most of the time.

The 18-55 | 55-200 | 60mm is also a nice combination. The 35mm and 27mm also are nice lenses. You have enough to chose for the Fujifilm X system.

I'm still quite pleased with my "older" Pentax K5, and it's pretty quiet for a dslr. My rangefinder (Leica M8) is quieter still, and my mirrorless (Leica X Vario) nearly silent.

This thread (http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3670541) discusses quiet/silent cameras. The most common suggestions are the Sony NEX family and the Olympus/Panasonic m4/3 cameras.
