Not the sharpest, not the best, but just a shot to capture the sky and the atmoshere;

sun was disappering quickly.

Not a tripod shot either, camera supported on the fence.

Taken almost in a dark @ 19h47 UK time.

 I didn't want to crank the exposure, but to retain the authentic scene. SPP6.2.1 only

Can you lift shadow detail in post? I am wondering how much dynamic range there is in these Foveons.

Certainly I can pull shadows, but it would look like a day photo

If done carefully it would still have overall same "feel" just with a better shadow detail in what right now is large areas of pure black. I suspect that the Sigmas have less dynamic range and that pulling the shadows will either not work or reveal unacceptable noise in the shadows - but I might be totally mistaken, that's why this image made me very curious :)

Shadows lifted with Topaz Adjust. I think the file looks really good. RAW would be even better.

I'll try to lift the shadows in SPP from RAW

I think the Quattro holds color in the shadows better than the Merrills. Really an amazing little camera. The lens alone is worth the price of the camera.

the quattro perfomance and colours really amazing.

You're right, each Art lens for my SD's cost as much and more!

herewith the photo with shadows recovered in SPP from RAW, just for an academic exercise and OOC jpeg as oryginal to compare

Looking at the property of your image in the details, the field Program Name is blank and the dpi are 96 instead of 180, are you sure that this image came from SPP?

my came from SPP, maybe you're looking at guzzibreva1 recovery in Topaz

Thank you so much for doing this, I didn't expect you can get such a good result from the Quattros. Tempts me to get one of these cameras into my arsenal :)

Now I've got all three Quattros and I'm very happy with the results
