1st time I tried DMF with rx100m1, after practice prefer MF. Will be even better with m3 EVF and tilt lcd.

What a nice experience Gary! I bet your heart was fluttering :)

I had something similar happen a couple of times. The first time I went out with my Bigma in early 2008 I walked right under a RSH and didn't see him. I turned around to look back and he was just staring at me about eight feet above my head on a limb. I stepped back and took many shots before he swooped down straight at me coming within about three feet of my head!

The second time, The RSH below was sitting in the middle of a par-3 hole fairway on a marker. I sat down about ten feet away and started shooting. He sat there for maybe three minutes giving me several poses. Sometimes luck just seems to walk up and slap you in the face :)

My favorite Red Fox lady appeared following our very cold January & February plus an 8" snow last week. She is pretty old and I've photographed her many times over the last six years (including several of her kits). She knows me well and pretty much just ignores me going about her business whenever I see her.

they all hit the feeder hard when it is nearly empty. Doves are skittish, there were about 8 of them, with about 20 sparrows, on the ground, the ice had melted, the seed trapped in the snow and ice was exposed, I went for my camera, came back, presto, they took off, only 1 dove came back.
