Hi,

I was wondering if you can change the area when the MF assist zooms to 5x/8x. On the live view, I don't find any options using the directional pad to change the focus peaking area from default/center position to where the subject is.

Also, when in manual focus, changing the aperture/shutter, I don't see any difference in the exposure on live view though the histogram (and exposure indicator) changes real time.

Thanks for your help!!

Best,

Krish

If you have framing mode on you won't see a difference, since that mode adjusts the displayed image so that it is viewable rather than display what the camera is actually imaging.

Unfortunately, no, you can not change the size or area of manual focus currently. It's a pretty consistent complaint from users, so Samsung may address it in a FW update.

Hi Tugela,

When you say framing mode - do you mean timer? So if I turn to single shot will I be able to see real time how the exposure changes are changing my image?

Thanks

Thanks!

This is a huge problem with the camera. Many of us are hoping it'll be fixed in a firmware update soon.

Does anyone know if the MF Assist area is moveable on Samsung's other cameras. Is this a foreign concept to them?
