Hi Folks, Firstly let me thank you for all of the great info that this forum has provided. After trying a6000, X-E2 I ended up with the E-M10. Below is one of the first images. Might I ask if anyone has a suggestion for spare batteries? Is it worth getting the Oly or third party? Thanks again for the help.

Kit lens hand held. Overly Sharpened.

Many folks find the Wasabi batteries work well, and you get 2 batteries plus a handy wall charger for not much money. I've used mine for a couple years with no problems.

Have fun with the new camera.

I use only Olympus batteries, having had a bad experience. A third party battery swelled up on the inside of my camera and was nearly impossible to get out. The third party batteries did not hold a charge as long as the Olympus either.

Welcome! Great camera, the E-M10, hope you enjoy it.

I too have had good luck with Wasabi brand, but not that particular battery model. At a quarter of the OEM price it's a cheap experiment, at worst. And you save money to "invest" in lenses. :-)

Cheers,

Rick

Yeah, what he said. I keep 8 Wasabi batteries and 4 wall chargers for my E-M1s. I have 3 Olympus OEM batteries. I get no difference in battery life. I seldom know which battery is in the camera.

Thanks for the replies! Much appreciated. Guitar is nothing special a mid priced Seagull.
