These are the latest and perhaps last of the image from the concert last summer. Some are ok and others questionable. There may be some left in the set worthy of processing but I will have to take a closer look. I have already processed a couple from this set twice thinking they looked familiar, apparently for good reason!

Jimi James, drummer for Marcellus Wallace. I have not yet removed the banner but will likely do so at some point.

An image from last fall of La Concha beach (and part of Ondaretta beach) in San Sebastian/Donostia, Spain

Processed from RAW using DxO OpticsPro Elite with DxO Standard Preset + ClearView On (+80)

Probably could use a little lightening (and some might argue that the beach is over saturated - but I was there, and trust me, under some lighting conditions the sand truly glows golden hues). In any case, I'm becoming very impressed with what DxO (as in "ouch" - pricey) can do, especially with some difficult images).

Another great image Bruce. I imagine it doesn't have quite the same appeal once the snow is gone but it will still be terrific.

Taken early this afternoon. I figured it was the last chance before the melt! It went up to +4 C this afternoon! Yippee!

Sounds like a veritable heat wave coming. A fine capture of the falls well not falling so much. :)

A lovely view Wes. I want to be there now!

Andrew
I as well. Though the 10-12C average temps and rainfall this time of year, make it more likely you'd find me in one of the ~400 or so bar/restaurants enjoying the amazing pintxos than spending a lot of time on the beaches. Seriously though, there have been times when I've been oh so close to just grabbing my MFT kit, tossing some random stuff in my carry-on and grabbing a flight. I miss Spain a lot.

e-m1& 50-200+EC14 handhold, little bit cropped. CS6, Nik sharpener.

Remarkably sharp for handheld, especially at that focal length and shutter speed.

Kudos as well for including the PP information! So often, PP is at least equal to the EXIF data transmitted via DPR, if not paramount, in the final image.

I wish more would include this, at least where it's particularly pertinent. Alas, even better, would be some software that would automate this. I've railed on before about how handy it would be (and presumably easy) to have LR generate a list of the Development settings applied. True, kicking the photo out to CS6 or any of the other image processing applications would vastly complicate things, but even if we just knew they're been in the flow, it would be handy.

Kursaal Convention Center plaza, overlooking Zuriola Beach, unseasonably warm autumn day in San Sebastian.

Another DxO OpticsPro 10 exercise. This time using the HDR Artistic preset, Clearview and some heavy lifting on various sliders. I dunno, maybe I'm bored?

An interesting image Wes. I like the diagonal lines of the building and the textures of the wall below. At first I thought perhaps it was a pool of water but now I have no idea. If they are looking down at a beach there should be a railing of some sort and it doesn't appear so unless that dog is standing on top of it! The couple adds to the image but for me the dog not so much.

Andrew, good call. I guess I got hung up on the incongruity - the dog being the only non-desultory element.

Did a quickie touch up in LR using the "Spot Removal" tool - crude, but gives the rough effect. Yes. Better without the dog.

And the stone work is also confusing. No, it's not water, it is part of the massive masonry wall separating the Kursaal convention center from the beach. The plaza is about 10' above the beach and the ocean is perhaps 400' across the beautiful sand beach further west.

As always, great to have a fresh (and accomplished) set of eyes on the image! Many thanks!

Two crude revamps:

Sans pooch, wall intact.
Sans pooch, wall intact.

Sans pooch and de minimis wall
Sans pooch and de minimis wall

Thoughts? Personally, I like the contrast in texture and perspective between the stone work and the building facade of the 'wall intact' version.

I prefer the wall in the image, i.e., the first Wes. The dog certainly adds an element to the image and one that likely appeals to some. For me the removal places the focus on the dog and the couple and what the woman is looking at is a mystery. The dog complicates that but some like dogs so will like the dog in the image.

Great set, the images all have a real feel of movement and i imagine the music they played had everyone engaged. Personally I like the images with the stage sets, the amps and everything, it has a more intimate feel. For the tighter crops the empty backgrounds work, but the duel musicians I prefer the stack of amps still in the image. I have to tell you I am not big on the IR look in most images, but your processing has me completely changing my opinion. In fact I may try my hand on few shots I have.

Really well done.
