We are waiting for complete reviews for the Canon T6i (750D) and Canon T6s (760D) cameras from a reputable site. Do you know where any complete reviews can be found for these?

To the OP:

I hope there wasn't any confusion between the words "I or "we" that RedFox is making a big deal of. There is more than one person in the world that is interested in the Canon T6i or Canon T6s camera's reviews.

Here's one if you are interested and you can read other people's comments also on the thread.

...for reviews of the T6s....

I always sensed that the Rebel XT that I gave away to my brother was subtlety a better camera than the 4Ti I replaced it with.

I've been happy with the 4Ti...but I do want the 6Ts to be very good...with great IQ.

I hope.

Im certainly waiting for the reviews. Without the test shots no one can say what the new senor will be like.

There has been occasions in the past where new senors were worse than the older so its no given that it will be great.

If the new 24mp sensor is going to be great , then the question is why didnt they put it in the 7d2 ?

Im still hopeful

Don't get your hopes up too high:

"I was recently told (thanks) that after a query to Canon about the EOS M3, the response suggested that the noise/DR perfomance of the new 24MP sensor was on a par with the 18MP in the 700D and that video performance was not up to the level of the 7D mk2"

Rats, I was hoping it would be comparable to my Sony A6000. Now I have to lower my expectations and hope it's better than my SL1.

The T6i/s image sensor does not have dual pixel af like the 7D2 and 70D has. that is more expensive and why it wasn't put in the T6i\s. Dual pixel technology being more expensive that Is.

Some guy was told by some other guy that the new camera is somehow inferior... Yeah, that sounds reliable. :) Like many others, I'm waiting to see some reputable reviews!

From what I understand the "Dual pixel" feature is more dedicated to video.

Those more interested in still photography may prefer a higher resolution sensor like in the D7200.

Canon are buying the Sony sensor for the their G7X, It would be great if they bought the Sony 24mg sensor for the rebel.

I'm glad Canon is still making sensors. I think it's problematic to have too much sensor production in one company's hands. To me, the perceived shortcomings in Canon sensors are overblown.

I also don't see the point of Canon making an RX100 clone; but that's a different topic.

....but I am be tending back to finally trying a refurbished 6D....If I'm going to be spending some money anyhow....

But I do very much like the Rebel weight and easy to handle size.

I keep going back and forth...who knows what strange circle I'll land on with so many options!

But I do have a lot of EF-S Glass...so that means something.

Best Wishes, Traveller

It's for both video and live view and said to be more expensive than standard.

My thought was, if you were a 7D2 owner would you prefer a 24mg sensor similar to the Sony/Nikon or 20mg Dual pixel?.

I think for sport/ action pictures the 24mg sensor is the better choice and so if Canons new sensor is any good, theres going to be a few envious 7d2 owners.

7D2 is not a landscape camera and output seems fine for fast action! Whatever the new sensor does, the new rebel is not going to have the high end af, build quality, etc. The new rebel should still be a nice camera, though.

It seems to muddy the water with respect to the 70D, though. Keeping in mind the 60D was a sort of super-rebel, how will an 80D really differentiate itself, and what will that cost? It's sort of interesting.

What I find interesting is that Canon chose put their new high res APS-C sensor in a Rebel first.

It's the bread-and-butter camera - They sell more rebels than any other model. Plus, I could easily believe plain 24mp is cheaper to produce than 20mp dual-pixel. They may need straight 24mp to be competitive, too. I agree, it's interesting!

....I have been really happy with the Rebels...as has been most of us.

For various reasons, some valid, some probably not, I've been also looking at a 6D.

I really want to see some actual out of camera image tests from the T6s...

As do we all want to see this, I suppose.

When is it actually coming out, anyhow?

Best Wishes, Traveller
