I hope this was the last snow storm for New York this Winter.

Snow on Water Street

I shot a video in the snow with my new E-M5 MK II in 1080 60p and slowed the motion in Adobe Premiere Elements. Here's the link to the video on Flickr.

It's nothing special. I just wanted to see how the falling snow looked in slow motion.

I'm not sure whether I like this better in color or black and white - thoughts?

Some of both. For these I only walked short distances. Left work early because I thought rush hour traffic with the heavy snow would become a nightmare. Was very pretty snow and I decided I had to park and walk about with my camera a bit. Really need snowshoes to go very far through this with any grace.

Great shots! I love the contrast of the red and white.

That video is interesting too - I like seeing the detail in the snow slowed down.

We have had a few days lately where temperatures shifted 60 degrees between daylight and dark.

I LOVE those first two shots the best! Very nice!

What great lighting, timing and composition. It's so well set up that looks like a grab from a movie.

They both work, but I prefer the b&w. The contrasting tones pop more in the b&w.

I like the first here. It looks like sheet ice rather than snow. And I like the footsteps too :-)

It was 17C in London today, something of a blip I suspect but at least it means that spring is on the way.

Nope. And they are cute - especially the first.

That looks REALLY heavy. I like the third and enjoyed the video. I'm relieved we escaped winter this year.

B&W for me.

But I really think this second is good too. I would do a bit of distortion correction to get that chimney straight and kill the highlights a bit but other than that it's a nice shot and I prefer it to the first, especially with that ice in the water.

Like this one a lot. Those two contributors look like twins. Only the shoes seem different from the back side anyway. I would be tempted to do some cloning on the two corners here. (I say this after posting an image below where I didn't notice the intrusion into a corner until after I posted it! :-( )

Andrew
I looked hard at your shots but didn't notice anythin offensive.

I considered cloning but in the end decided I rather liked the intrusions. I felt that they stopped the shot from looking too clinical.

I take it you like the Mark II. Video's nice! All your previous wonderful shots on the M10?
