hey guys so I was in the process of applying for the Imaging PRO Support program and opened the pdf file on my computer. I filled everything out and at the bottom it says "please save the PDF, email it to ___________" Once I click the submit button in the Adobe Reader does it automatically send the form to Sony? Sorry I'm not familiar with using PDF forms, etc. I was wondering if anyone who applied know if I did it correctly.

Thanks!!

I don't know if you did it correctly but here is what the instructions wanted.

1. Fill in the form.

2. File "Save As" then save the PDF file to folder.

3. Open your email client and enter the PRO email address.

4. Attach the file to the PRO email.

I'm not a pixel peeper. I just shoot images.
It only lets me save as a blank copy. It says "Please fill out the following form. You cannot save data typed into this form"

I was wondering if the "submit button" in the PDF form automatically sends it to the PRO email address.

From what I can tell the answer is yes, if the Sony form designer did it correctly. Pressing the button will either send it thru to your default email or send it via HTTP like a web page to wherever Sony is electronically accepting those forms.

Snippets from the web:

"Acrobat doesn't actually send the email. It hands the email to the operating system, and the system sends the email through the default email client. The default email client is the program you use to send and receive emails. It's the one that pops up automatically whenever something happens on your system that has to do with email."

"HTTP submission is very similar to how web pages are requested by a web browser. Acrobat packs up the form data, or the entire form, into what's called an HTTP Request and then sends it out through the user's internet connection. As long as the user has an internet connection, no additional software or setup is needed on the system. This kind of submission is much more reliable and transparent than email."
