This year with really frigid winter time causing the lake Ontario to freeze, last Saturday me and my friend went to Cherry Beach and The Dock take some photos with the A7II for both of us. I am using the old Sony 24-105mm A mount lens and the old Minolta 100-300mm APO lens together with the LA-EA4 adapter. Hope you like the photos.

Also Brrr. These days I won't venture south of Queen St. Waiting for the spring thaw, maybe this July?

Nice pics!

Love it.

Makes our 57°F cold spell here seem tame.

Thanks. I really enjoy using the A7II, glad I switch from 5DIII that I feel too heavy for my age and a man who has to deal with myositis disease, IBIS really help.

Spring is in the corner 18 more days👍
That's what they said last year. Maybe I'll just move to the wet coast where it's green and warm and blooming!

Thanks for showing. I took a photo of Burlington Bay which is totally frozen over as shown in this photo.

That is not unusual. They've been doing ice-boat races there for over 100 years.

That guy alone playing the snowmobile? I am not that brave, even when I walk on the frozen water at that time sounds like I step on the empty floor.

I am aware of that and I have watched them. However the bay has not frozen over in the last 15 years as far as I know.

Massive discharges of effluent/industrial waste might be lowering the freezing point of the water in Burlington Bay.

very nice photos but you need to fix or straighten the horizon....

Well, this is certainly OT, however, have you been to Hamilton and the various waterfront parks lately? You no longer need a magnet to fish:-D

Ha ha, not lately. (that's why I qualified with "might."

Ever since US Steel, which could not compete with the Canadian steelmaker Stelco, bought it out just to close it down. Maybe 100 years into the future, nature will be bountiful again but there will be no industry remaining. Except maybe in China.
