Hi all,

I'm wondering if somebody could recommend a good bag for the V2 + 70-300 CX plus a couple of other N1 lenses (18.5mm + 6.7 -- 13mm). I have a small bag that hold the camera plus 7-300 CX neatly, but it doesn't have space for anything more, sadly.

Thanks,

Nik

I carry around two V2 bodies, a 10mm, 18.5mm, 32mm, and 30-110mm lenses, with a SB-7N flash and my laptop, flash cards, and miscellaneous other accessories in a four year old Tamrac 3445 bag. Everything fits well, and the bag comes with dividers you can move around to accommodate what you're carrying.

Do you want a bag which accommodates the 70-300mm lens in the ready state (with the hood mounted, that is), then you could look into the Tamrac Velocity 7x bag. I'm using that bag for the V3+70-300mm with hood mounted. Pictures here:

I enjoy using my Tenba p 26, which is a small top-loading vertical bag that can hold my v3 (with a lens) above a couple of additional lenses and batteries. I use small op/tech fold-over foam pouches for the unattached lenses.

+1 on the Tamrac Velocity. I can get my V2 W/70-300 attached, plus a V1 w/10mm, another lens and batteries, plus the sb-5 flash unit and it handles quite well and has a pretty small footprint!

Think Tank Mirrorless 30i - an excellent and very well made bag for my V2, iPad and 4 lenses, including the 70-300cx!

I have experiences on below small bag it's quite suitable for mirrorless system. I divided to 4 area to carrying v3 + grip + 6.7-13 at side, 18.5, 32 at bottom, 70-300 ontop of both lens at same time.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found the LowePro Adventura 120 at a reasonable price near me, and it seems to fit the camera and lens, at least with the hood reversed, which is what I mostly want. I am wondering though if it will be big enough if I upgrade to the V3 some day.

Would it be possible for you to tell me the size of the V3 with the EVF and grip mounted? I mostly want to know how tall it is from the bottom of the grip to the top of the finder.

Thanks in advance.

This is my favourite and the one I use.

It holds a V3 70-300CX with hood in place, the 300mm F4 pf, small pair of binoculars and a small scope. Also batteries, dedicated space for an iPad or mercer 11" and somewhere to attach a monopod. Side pockets for books, notepad. Straps are padded and I can carry all my kit around all day as so light and compact and yet protective.

It is lightweight, opens at the top or unzips fully and it is really quite small. A friend with a V3 saw mine and got one straight away. It costs a bit more but it is superbly made and has great economics.
