That's Point Arena, not Point Reyes.

I have a Guidebook on Photographing Northern California, so yes, I'm 100% certain. ;)

Nice photo, though. Did you take the tour to the top of the Lighthouse?

Whichever one it is... it is a nice photo.... like the balance between the land and the sea..... composition well established.... I like the color balance as well.... lightening it might flatten it out a bit???

Great capture Syd. I really like this view and will have to put it on my bucket list. There is a bit of a bow in the horizon that I would fix, and the only other suggestion would be to move the camera a bit to the left next time to get more of the ocean and less of the stuff on the right.

i than you for kind words, Ronald. the reason why the colors look so saturated is because of the late afternoon light. one has to be there to see it for oneself to see what i am trying to say ;-) the wave pattern was very exciting that day.

thank you very much for your kind words, David! yes, i am well aware of the the curvature at the horizon and i think that is because i used the canon TSE 24mmII lens which can be corrected in canon DPP software. yes, this is one of my favorite spots in northern california for photography and i visit there frequently! i understand your suggestion about moving the camera a bit more to the left to capture more of the ocean. i do have such rendition. i have taken thousands of photos of this particular place with variety of lenses of all FLs and different angles. i will look for one in my collection and post it ;-)

regards,

syd.
