Hi guys. I'm new in here.

I would like to find some good retoucher who wants to make some practice with a few photos that I've made.

There is someone willing to do it on TFP?

The one below is one of them.

Photons by the bag.
Gravitons no longer shipped outside US or Canada

You got a camera, now go out and get a life; or at least a picture of one!

Select the iris and pupil and jump two copies to new layers. Vertically flip the top copy and join it to the lower copy with a mask so the eyelid doesn't cover the upper iris. Merge to a new layer and use Liquify to Pucker the Iris and pupil. Mask the new eyes without dilated pupils in, Dodge and Burn, and sharpen.

I'm not digging the makeup and the background so this looks better to me. Done on an iPad with Photoshop Express.

My response to you ends if you resort to trolling and flaming. Criticizing this signature means you are well on the path to doing just that. Accusing me of being a troll means you are doing just that.
Stick to the message, not the messenger. Anyone that truly respects what forums are all about will agree.
If you decide to get back to the topic then I may once again respond.

I see you are a new member of only two weeks, so welcome!

However I am puzzled by your over defensive sig file. What could possibly have happened in only two weeks? But then I see you have managed 494 posts in that brief time. Anyone who respects what Forums are all about wouldn't post more than three times the next nearest in 'Open talk' as a newcomer or a regular.

Then I see your posts to 'Open Talk', 'Mac Talk' and 'Retouching' and it becomes obvious who you are.

You are welcome to report this comment to a moderator as they need to be alerted.

Cheers, Tony.

  • smoothed some skin imperfections
  • adjusted makeup
  • adjusted background
  • eliminated mustache that seemed to be caused by lighting

Hi,

I used my latest purchase Wow! Tonal Equalizer for skin smoothing and detail enhancement.
Some play with curves and this is what I got.

Starting with the original photo. This one is a lower resolution than I like. I prefer more resolution, something around 3000x4000 pixels, but this one was well focused, only slightly under exposed and the subject is beautiful.

I run the image through PortraitPro. Use whatever you have to tweak things a bit. Primarily you want to reduce shadows and highlights on skin imperfections, slightly alter the facial expression to taste and set basic exposure levels to accept adjustments that will follow. You have to figure out the basic exposure for yourself, but below is what I did for this photo.

i-pSgrDDM.jpg

The end game is basically to create a “Highkey” image. That means most of the image should be more than 50% exposed. I use more than one technique to raise the exposure level, while still keeping the “Lowkey” values on the eyes, mostly by raising the contrast. The eyes are the key element. I don’t like totally high contrast images so I try keep some of the middle range pixels. Don't expect to get where you want to be with just one adjustment.

i-WFWRbjr.jpg

I then apply the “Phog”. The face is rendered as elements. The eyes, the mouth, the neck, the cheeks the forehead are each rendered on separate layers. Each layer having less contrast in the order listed. The layers are then blended together using percent of opacity as the control. To taste.

I then apply Hue and Saturation to taste for the minimally saturated image I prefer.

i-pkJbhSd.jpg

Saturation totally reduced and a bit of Brightness and Contrast to taste for the final PhogArt.

I would usually crop the image to some standart frame size and add my signature, but for this one I did not. If I had more pixels to work with I might have done something different.

What relevance does my signature have with the topic of this thread?
But then I see you have managed 494 posts in that brief time.
Again, what relevance does that have to the topic of this thread?
Anyone who respects what Forums are all about wouldn't post more than three times the next nearest in 'Open talk' as a newcomer or a regular.
Who are you that you get to decide how many posts are acceptable? So long as people are discussing the topics at hand, and doing so respectfully, why should it bother you how many times people post?
Then I see your posts to 'Open Talk', 'Mac Talk' and 'Retouching' and it becomes obvious who you are.

The answer to your question is quite evident by the end of your post. My signature is addressing people that simply wish to be troublemakers by trolling and flaming, as you have just done with your first post to me.
