Spot removal in D100 ...

Here it is:

Now let me explain.

I highlighted area and brightened it so you can see the spots.
This area is reflection in the water. Usually if I have D100 setting
for spots removal on long exposures, it fixes it. I wish there would
be a function in the camera for after shooting post-processing.
Do you know how to fix em? ...
No, seriously, there should be a batch processing tool for that
matter ...
Anyone?

I too had the same spots and thought that I did something wrong. Did I? What caused the spots? I shot mine with my D1x and 28-105 at f11 and f16. Since I did overexpose most I thought that was the problem. Not to wish bad luck on anyone, I am glad to see I am not alone.

They look like random pixels firing. Are you sure you enabled the Long Exposure setting? Looks like it wasn't ON. That setting usually does a good job cleaning them up.

I have made a photoshop macro for this.
You will find it on my page:

The thing that you need to modify is the jpg file to use.

Take a long expose picture with your D100 with your lens cap on (f/11 with 10s for example).

Julien
