Just out in my back yard 3:30 pm. Nice surprise! We thin it is a Northern Pygmy Owl.

Very, very well composed picture!! Great subject!!

No EXIF data? I see you re-sized the picture for posting, just wondering if you are shooting at a high ISO or high zoom and that is why it's a little blurry, for others, notice I did not say feather smearing.

Hope you enjoy your new camera!! Looking forward to seeing many more of your pictures.

ISO- 220. 1/250. f6.5. Zoomed in as much as I could. Even though he was not too far away, he is tiny. And no complaints here with the feathers. Lol. I am just glad I was out there and got something. I took it out of Bird watching scene mode and tried manual with different speed, ISO etc. And they all have the blurr. lots of great birds in this Pacific Northwest! Thanks!

That's an excellent image, as everything in it is very good: the focus on target, the composition, the colors and of course the target itself :) !

It proves the outstanding P600 features, but also your photographic skill.

Congratulations,

Augustin

P.S. I've got also a shot of an owl (the last summer, with SX50), but not nearly as good as yours:
