Very innovative options in this thread! I like the ability to bounce the flash with my finger a lot, but I am taking more and more wefie shots either on tripod or getting someone to take it for us, so will need a stick bounce flash!
Why not using the YN560 IV and set it as a slave (S1), and using the pop up flash on A5100 to trigger it, but make sure turn down the power to the lowest -2 so it will not affect the exposure and hold the Yongnuo flash with your left hand or put it on the stand, this works better than the pop up flash itself.
Although bounce flash can be an improvement over direct flash, you need to swivel it in order to create a decent directional light and avoid the racoon eye effect
Thanks! This is actually one of the options that I am considering. However I have no experience at all at optical triggers and the 560 seems pricey. Have been researching a lot about optical slaves. You have any pictures to share with this combination?

You don't need any trigger with this combinations you only need to buy the YN560 IV or III, I think they are the same price, I paid $100 Cdn, you can use the pop up flash to trigger it.
