Stylus 1 - shadow/highlight blue/orange "blinkies" ... disappeared

I've been using the shadow/highlight blue/orange indicator in the EVF and back panel display since I got my Stylus 1 last spring.

Now, suddenly, that feature is done gone.

The appropriate box is checked in the menu and I've done no reset nor have I downloaded the new firmware upgrade, and I'm completely stumped as to wha' happened.

Plus...the EVF and back panel displays no longer change to reflect exposure settings: another feature I've used since day one.

Probably something simple but I'll be damned if I can figure it out. Brain fog!

Help anyone?

Thanks!

When you upade to Firmware V2.0 everything is reset to factory defaults. You will simply have to set it all up again to how you like it. I don't think anything has been removed, just reset.

I didn't do the upgrade to 2.0, yet.

All my cameras get dementia occasionally, most issues are solved by a full reset. Have you tried that?

Hi ELOJR,

this tells me that you've probably turned on "Live View Boost". This may also affect blinkies.

Turn it off, so that the effective exposure will be visible again and see, if blinkies return.

Cheers,
Michael

Thanks, Michael. Checked Live View Boost and it's off.

I played some more and the effective exposure seems to be working. I was testing it indoors before and perhaps I didn't choose settings under/over exposed enough to see the changes clearly.

So...my goof.

However, I still don't see the highlight/shadow blinkies. Baffling.
